TRAVEL & LODGING

How to Get Here

However you get here, we’re glad you decided to make the trip! There are two main airports that you can fly into but the choice is largely up to you and how you want to spend your time in California.

Either airport does require renting a car and driving to our location. We recommend booking your flights and car rentals before end of March. For more information on vehicular transportation for specific events, please keep reading and check out When & Where.

  • San Francisco International Airport

SFO is a great choice if you’re looking to spend the week before our wedding in the city or wine country. You’ll have plenty of amazing restaurants, cultural experiences, and running trails at your disposal. June in San Francisco can be foggy and cold, which will be a contrast from Graeagle’s summer weather, but if you don’t mind the 4 hour drive to Graeagle and value the hustle bustle of the city, sourdough, and trollies - this is for you.

  • Reno - Tahoe International Airport

RNO is also a great choice if you’re looking to bop in for the weekend and brunch, but then head out shortly after. You’ll fly into Reno, Nevada and make a shorter 1.5hr drive to Graeagle. This option is for you if you like warmer weather, adventure, log cabins, long hikes in the Lost Sierras, and don’t mind hanging with mountain locals while you await the more formal festivities to come.

Where to Stay

For the weekend of our wedding festivities, you have a wide variety of options for lodging. However, Graeagle is a coveted destination for weddings during June and many lodging venues do host their own weddings that make lodging competitive. We recommend that you book before April for the closest, most amenable locations depending on your preference.

AirBnb and VRBO are both viable options if you’re comfortable staying outside of a resort, hotel, or motel.

  • Nakoma Resort

About 30 minutes drive from our venue, Twenty Mile House, this is the most chic of all the accommodations. It boasts luxury suites with state of the art onsite gym, swimming pool, spa, indoor/outdoor restaurant, and golf course.

As of November 2021, Nakoma is hosting a wedding the weekend of June 25-28, 2022 and does not have availability on their website.

We recommend calling this number 530-897-2300 to confirm availability and rates.

  • Chalet View Lodge

Closer to our venue via a 15 minute drive - Chalet View Lodge is a quaint, modern, take on the log cabin hotel; complete with brewery, fire pits, and onsite playground. Some suites have lofts that comfortably fit 2-4 people in a cozy space.

As of November 2021, Chalet View is hosting a wedding the weekend of June 25-28, 2022 but appears to have availability June 26-28th on their website.

We recommend booking through their website before April 2022.

  • Lodge at White Hawk Ranch

A secluded golf club with a limited amount of cabins onsite, the Lodge sits 20 minutes from our venue on a sprawling property that is primarily a golf course with charming fishing pond, cozy eatery, and hiking trails onsite.

As of November 2021, the Lodge at White Hawk Ranch is hosting a wedding the weekend of June 25-27, 2022 but appears to have a handful of cabins available June 26-28th on their website.

We recommend booking through their website before April 2022.

Transportation in Graeagle

While we will provide a shuttle route from Greenhorn Ranch, Chalet View, and the Lodge at White Hawk Ranch - we highly recommend out of towners rent a car from the airport they’ve flown into.

Uber and Lyft are not viable options in Graeagle.
